I noticed that this version is about 1,5 GB while the previous preactivated one is roundabout 2,7 GB? I am missing something here or is it photoshop?
Has anybody any experience? Is everything working fine (ACR, all features on board, maybe even Neural Filters (unlikely, given the size)?

I noticed the same thing. In PS 2022, there were two links to download. The Repack was around 1.5G (but my Antivirus complained about that file) and the preactivated link at 2.85G -> that one works perfectly. Maybe we should wait for the preactivated 2023 version? Afterall, the fixed few versions are always buggy anyway.
I noticed PS 2022 just release a minor update and it now v23.5.1.751 (it was v23.5.1.724 previously)
I will test them both out and see.

thank you very much! In general I think we all should share our experiences / knowledge more. Unfortunately sometimes the installation infos are cryptic, misleading or just too short. One extra sentence can make a whole lotta difference and each and everyone would benefit. All the work going into generating the software versions (many thanks for this, especially @ cyberloner) and then the lack of an adequate info might render all the effort useless in a way, when you just cannot make it work.
Regarding Photoshop: Currently I am using v23.5.2.751 Pre-activated (installed a few days ago from another source) in combo with Bridge 2022 v12.0.3.270 Pre-activated. So far, eve-rything seems to be working fine.
One thing that always bothers me, is the uncertainty of using software like DxO Photolab and Nik Collection regarding installing updates or new versions: Will a new Photoshop detect the already installed Nik and will the latter still work as a plugin? What about the existing DxO PL and vice versa, what about a new DxO Photolab and an existing Nik?
There always goes so much work into adjusting software to your needs and (re)installing presets or … whatever. So I am always quite happy, if I can get around uninstalling software (sometimes on uninstalling you are asked if you want to keep some settings file, but you never know before) and can install simply over an existing version.

I tested PS2023 (version 24.0) repack (1.5G) and it does work. Again, my antivirus complained (Avast) but I ran scans after with other programs and it seems fine.
I will stick with PS2022 until at least the first update of PS2023 (ie v24.1.x.x). I rarely use any X.0 version of any program:)
About PS2022, the repack version (smaller at 1.5G) does install PS2022 v23.5.1.751, but it shows up as v23.5.2 (menu: Help > About). Also, Avast complains of a virus during installation (not while the program runs). On the PS2022 download other link (the larger 2.8G file) points to the previous v23.5.1.724 version (also around 2.8G). Those larger versions don’t trigger Avast so I feel more comfortable using those.
I checked the task manager and task scheduler and there does not seem to be any strange programs (ie malware) that got installed.
Strange that a repack version cuts the file size from 2.8G down to 1.5G makes one wonder what was in all that extra code?

I’m curious about your PS2022 version that shows up as 23.5.2.751. PS Help About will probably show 23.5.2, but won’t tell you the last numbers. One has to use Control Panel, uninstall program, and check the listing last right most column. For this repack PS2022 shows 23.5.1.751.
Would you be willing to share your other source? It is good to have a backup. I’ll test it out and share my finding.

Anyway, About displays (only) 23.5.2., the 751 is only shown in the name of the file – and this 23…. seems to be working.
Regarding v24.: in other groups people are talking about not being able to uninstall, because Photoshop is not displayed unter Apps. So I am really interested in feedback regarding this latest preactivated installer.

However, I tried the macOS version and when I unpack the .7z file into a DMG and password.txt file, the stated password in the .txt file does not work on the DMG file. The macOS PS2022 (v23.x) does work, but the PS 2023 (v24.x) cannot be installed with the info posted here.

i keep getting the trial banner. this is only happening for version 2023, no matter the version. the last version of 2022 is still working fine without giving me the trial banner. i already deleted the genuine exe file. or at least is not showing in my files. can the admins look into this matter. much appreciated for ya’lls hard work.
non of my release here will cause that… it is cause you preinstall other version and left over adobe geniune stuff… uninstall and delete all adobe stuff in common and program file… will help
Well, I tried doing all that and even use Revo Uninstaller and manually deleted Adobe files from AppData and Program Files, but this still keeps happening, even after upgrading to Windows 11, what can I do? I don’t have any anti-viruses or even windows defender enabled.
yes i have tried that. i been doing this for quite some years. i already know the routine. but for some reason, i’m getting the unlicensed banner. i did the same as the person below. they used revo uninstaller. the only way to get it to work is by using a firewall on the app. but by doing that then i can’t use the neural filters (at least the ones that require the cloud to process). not too long ago i had the version 2023 and everything was working fine without the need of a firewall. but i upgraded to a newer version and now it’s not working. i guess for now i will continue to use 2022, i will continue to try these versions with time. but as for now, none of the 2023 versions are working. they’re all getting the banner trial. if you admins can specify a specific folder to delete but there are no instructions. i already know from previous installations what folders to delete, but seems like its always changing. thanks anyhow.
Yeah, not even version 2022 works for me; it seems like anything Photoshop-related is plagued no matter where I got it from. The only solution that has so far worked for me is to completely turn off my Wifi while using any version of Photoshop. I don’t know how it happened, it’s awful, and I’m beginning to lose hope. My friend tried the pre-installed version and it worked great without any difficulties, so I guess this is exclusive to me, therefore I think I probably need to perform a clean reinstallation of Windows, but that will require me to remove all the files in my C drive which I don’t want to lose and have no way of backing up in current time. I have no idea what to do.
man that sucks. i know that feeling. but since you mentioned this, now it makes me think we have a folder that’s giving us that banner trial. somehow it needs to be deleted. i already tried deleting a few but nothing works. i understand that maybe doing a reinstall of windows would probably fix that. i done it personally and it sucks. the amount of time that is lost reisntalling everything. i have tons of stuff so i would hate to do it again. i would suggest just wait until someone finds a solution. i saw on another of the sites i use to download softwares. they posted a portable version of PS2022 it’s like 8GBs. maybe that could work for you. if not just use a firewall for PS.
Well, thankfully, I was able to fix it by somehow enabling Windows Firewall (I didn’t know it needed to be done, because my friend never really had it enabled and it worked fine, and it worked fine for me previously) and disabling certain Creative Cloud apps, including AdobeIPCBroker, and everything now works fine!
