What is the minimum hardware requirement for Video Enhance AI?
We suggest you run Video Enhance AI on high-end Nvidia graphic cards. The minimum requirement is GTX 1050 with 4 GB VRAM. Any graphic card later/better than GTX 1080 (included) will do a fairly fast job. If you do not have an Nvidia graphics card in your device, the software can run on your Intel iGPU. Typically, it will be 5 times slower. If you do not have an Intel iGPU, the software will finally fall back to your CPU, which can be 10 times slower than the Nvidia GPU version.

I downloaded Topaz Video 5.2.1 for Mac and installed it by carefully following the instructions in the installation folder. However, the PRG after rewriting the patch via terminal is no longer readable and the system advises me to throw it in the bin. What have I done wrong? Has anyone had the same problem? IMPORTANT : After run Terminal in Mac tu install the Patch, the doc in ” sudo nano etc/hosts” disappears. Impossible write a new doc.

Check windows defender notification. it would be blocking a file that is supposed to replace the original exe. Allow it to “restore” or “allow”. And reinstall the application, again keeping an eye on the defender notifications.

Recently, the latest Defender even seems to block the files if real-time protection and other settings are switched off. These are reactivated automatically after a short time and this always seems to be the case when the Topaz cracked files want to be unpacked and installed. Although the check mark is still OFF, the files cannot be unpacked and copied from the Replace.exe.
The problem does not occur with Topaz Photo AI Cracked, because cyberloner has not packed the cracked files twice and the installer can copy the files directly.
Time to change Video AI Cracked to this new method too @cyberloner 😉
Topaz Video AI 5.2 is out with new Rhea Enhancement model!
I’m running 5.2.0 and for some unknown reason I need to select my nvidia 3080 gpu in the settings before every single encode. The setting always reverts back to the default Auto setting for some reason. If I close the program and restart I need to choose the 3080, if I run an encode, then run another directly after I need to choose the 3080 again.
Does this happen to everyone?
I am experiencing the same glitch. I’m using the same 3080 as you, but the GPU may have nothing to do with it.
I did check the topaz labs forums and it appears to be a glitch affecting many users with different gpus. I just downloaded 5.2.1, hopefully it has been fixed with the new update.
The issue is still affecting 5.2.1 but apparently it has been fixed in the latest beta version and should be fixed in the next update.

Hi. this app downloads models every time i open it, How to solve this problem?
Check menu on the left top side, click on models and select all (or the ones you need) and download them.
When upgrading to a new version do not uninstall the old one with an uninstaller program like Iobit Uninstaller, this will also delete the models.
5.2.2 that fixes some serious bugs.
5.2.1 Installed fine (no warnings) I rebooted and ran one job – no errors. Then I open it again and got please register. Replace.exe didn’t trigger in AV, something else maybe.

@cyberloner As already written, your installer here no longer works with the current Windows 11 Defender. Even if you completely deactivate real-time protection etc., the Replace.exe is no longer unpacked into the installation path. You have to do this manually every time!
Can you perhaps change the installer in the same way as with current Topaz Photo AI, where the installation works wonderfully with the cracked files?

@cyberloner The installer of Topaz Video AI v5.2.3 does not work. The installation window opens briefly for about 3 seconds and then the web page opens, but the installation remains in the folder on the old v5.2.2!
Why don’t you do it like Topaz Photo AI, where the installation and also an update of an existing installation works perfectly.
Update: Now uninstalled everything and completely reinstalled. It remains at v5.2.2. Strange!

Help Needed with Dione Model Failures & Multi-Processing in Topaz Video AI 5.3.1

The recent release is working well—thank you very much!
I do have two questions:
(Other users might have solutions that could assist me.)
First, while all models are functioning properly, the Dione model, which I rely on for processing interlaced videos, is an exception. Regardless of the Dione configuration or whether I use the GPU or CPU, any export with Dione fails just before completion. The temporary files indicate that everything is processed correctly, but instead of exporting the new video file, all temporary files are automatically deleted, and an error message appears. Does anyone know why this might be happening? I would greatly appreciate any help (as the log file doesn’t seem to provide a clear explanation).
My second question is: Why isn’t it possible to enable multi-processing with the Cybermania-modified version of Topaz Video AI? In the settings, this feature is only available with Topaz Video AI “PRO.” Is this not a pro version? If not, what is needed to obtain the “PRO” version?

For interlaced videos use Proteus or Iris. Both are much better compared to old Dione and could process interlaced content as well.
Multi-processing in Topaz Video AI “PRO“ affects only multiple GPU cards. Regular version is also capable of using multiple CPU cores.

Thank you for the earlier suggestions to use the Proteus and Iris models for processing interlaced videos. I’ve experimented with both, but I’ve encountered some challenges that I hope you can help me address.
Detail Loss with Proteus and Iris:
Despite setting all adjustable parameters to 0 in the Proteus model, I still notice a loss of detail in the results. The Iris model, while effective at reducing noise, seems to exacerbate this issue, causing even more detail loss. Is there a reason why these models struggle to retain detail, and are there any workarounds or settings that could minimize this issue?
De-Interlacing without Quality Loss:
I also noticed that none of the available models offer an optional de-interlacing feature without applying other effects. This leads me to my next question: do you have any advice on using the GaiaHQ5 model with interlaced HD video material to achieve optimized results?
Tricks or Procedures within Topaz Video AI:
Is there perhaps a trick or specific procedure within Topaz Video AI that could help me achieve all of this without needing to use additional software? If anyone has found a workflow that effectively handles de-interlacing and detail preservation using the tools within Topaz, I’d love to hear about it.
External Software for De-Interlacing:
If achieving this within Topaz Video AI isn’t possible, could anyone recommend a reliable tool or software that can de-interlace video material separately? I’m looking for a solution that performs the de-interlacing step quickly and without introducing additional effects or quality loss, so I can then proceed with enhancements in Topaz Video AI.
